The Design Of A Comprehensive Church Worship Training

By Mattie Knight

The sole aim of worshiping is to give glory and honor to God. This should be the target of every member or leader regardless of our demands to God in prayer. Church worship training program is designed to ensure that every team achieves this goal. It is necessary in molding worshipers for small churches and mega ministries alike.

Worshiping is a crucial part of any Christian ministry. It requires as much attention as preparing the homily for the day. Failure to pay enough attention to this aspect will result in a loop sided delivery that will affect the spiritual maturity of a congregation. There are essential aspects that must be brought to the attention of your team and its leaders to ensure top notch performance.

The strength and performance of any group largely depends on the ability of its leader. The leader takes charge and charts the way forward to ensure that you deliver the desired results. Leaders should be musically oriented, good managers and spiritually strong. They must understand their role in every service so that their delivery is synchronized with the format of the day. They should meet the needs of each service which are always unique.

There is a close relationship between hymns sung during a service and the sermon delivered. The two work in a way that reinforces their side-by-side existence in every service. They support each other in delivering a single message to the congregation. This calls for a leadership and team that has foresight on what is to be the theme for the day or service. An updated song list also enables the congregation to grow spiritually.

Music is at the center of every worship activity. The ability of a team and its leaders to understand basic musical concepts enables them to produce the best during exaltation sessions. Some of these concepts include voice production, musical notation, volume and integration of instrumentation. This ensures that there is harmony between different singing groups and proper coordination with instruments and instrumentalists.

Worshipers who are spiritual dwarfs or weaklings will not delivery. Empty souls will produce weak leadership which can be seen on their face and be felt in their singing. It is therefore important to enhance the spiritual depth of the members and leaders of your worship team. Their production will be genuine, insightful and inspired. This experience will be transferred to your entire congregation.

Worship teams are positioned at a pedestal in front of all congregations. This has a great impact on the image portrayed of church leadership. Surprisingly, members of your congregation are likely to identify them as church leadership as opposed to the actual heads. This calls for a personality and presentation polishing. This is a session that covers personal grooming, interaction and maintaining the image of the religious outfit wherever a person goes.

The Holy Spirit is at the center of every worship as is instructed in the bible. This calls for strong spiritual grounding to ensure that what is produced by the mouth comes from the heart. Each team of worshipers should receive regular training to strengthen their experience at personal level and transmit the same to the congregation. The entire church will be worshiping in truth and spirit.
