It features famous players of yesteryear from both the NBA and WNBA going against each other in a fun competition for the fans. This is the event that helps kick off the Saturday, February 18 All-Star weekend festivities.
Then there is the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, where players from around the league who are good ball handlers, such as point guards, show off their skills in a timed challenge. The Foot Locker Three-Point Contest follows, which allows the best distance shooters in the league to try and make the most 3-point shots in an allotted amount of time. Finally, one of the most popular challenges, the Slam Dunk Contest, tips off with young, big slamming stars taking center stage.
Of course, the finale is the All-Star Game itself, which takes the best players from the Eastern Conference and lets them try to beat the best from the Western Conference. There are living legends, superstars in training and so much more. There is also a concert sponsored by Sprint that day to further entertain. All of this is on February 18, a Sunday.
