Selecting Suitable Wedding Floral Arrangements

By Catherine Perry

There are some days that you will remember more than others. These may be specific birthdays, weddings, or even anniversaries. In order to make these days memorable, there needs to be efficient planning beforehand. Your wedding floral arrangements, are part of what makes the day memorable, because they add color and cheer to the venue.

In most cases, your color scheme will be determined by the colors you and your spouse like. This will then be transferred to the clothes and the linens used. This same theme should flow to the flowers, to make sure the arrangements do not clash with everything else. The design of the dresses will also determine whether you get a large bunch or a simple bouquet.

To get the best results, you need to choose the best professional to do the job. It is advisable to get a recommendation from someone who has used these services before. Ensure you have about three options listed, so that you can compare their services. You should also get someone who you get along with.

The bouquet you chose should be able to reflect who you are. This means that you do not need to get a large bouquet, if you do not want one. The best way to settle on the right arrangement, is by telling the florist about yourself and your spouse. This way they can help you choose the right blooms, arranged in the right way.

Consider the season. If you are having a summer or spring wedding, then your choice will be very broad. However, if your wedding falls in either fall or winter, the choice may be limited to flowers like roses, calla lilies, hydrangeas and some types of orchids. You should also think about the venue you are using. This will be in terms of ceiling height, the colors in the room, the lighting.

When coming up with the budget, make sure to include the price for the professional, as well as the flower arrangements. Get an original estimate from someone who has used these services before, in order to come up with a good budget. After getting the florist, you might discover that different arrangements have different prices. You can then tell them your budget allowance, and they will show you those within your price range.

Sometimes you might find that the florist you hired, also offers other services. This might include renting out additional decorations like linens, lights candles among others. Getting someone who offers all these services, makes life easier for you. You might also find that the price may be lower if you get everything from one person.

As the bride, the bouquet you will carry will be slightly different from the rest. You can choose to add your own touch, by including something of your own, like a monogrammed handkerchief. You can also choose to do something different when it comes to the centerpiece, like arranging a pile of your favorite books, or using different sizes and colors of candles.
