Amazing Facts About Halal Dating Rules

By Cynthia Lewis

Most married people will tell you that they met their partner, fell in love, dated and then got married. Most cultures are used to this kind of relationship whereby you date the person you like and get married afterwards. Nevertheless, some cultures do not allow this. For instance, in the Islamic culture, you cannot date someone before marriage. Their Halal dating has several rules that should be met before marriage and even after marriage. Find out some facts about the rules below.

Falling in love is normal and love does not discriminate. If you start developing special feelings for someone, it can be risky to tell them as you do not know whether you will be accepted or rejected. Therefore, if you have such feelings, the right way to make it a rightful relationship is through marriage. However, if you are not yet ready for marriage, you have to fast and pray to control the lust.

The second rule is that you should do the right Taaruf. This is not similar to dating. It encourages people to marry before they date. This is because when you date someone for some time and get to know them, there are high chances of being hurt when the relationship fails. Hence, doing the right Taaruf means that you marry the person you have feeling for immediately.

If you are ready to get married but you do not have someone yet, you can ask people to help you. You can therefore make a proposal that will consist of your biography. You will give this proposal and biography to the people you are requesting help from. They will then hand it to a girl they recommend. The lady will also do the same and if it works, you can get married.

If the proposal is accepted, you cannot be allowed to meet the girl alone. The only thing you should do is date her in Taaruf. Thus, you can only meet her in the presence of her family. This is where you can ask things you would like to know about that person. The time to do this is usually set by the girl and you.

If it happens that the set time is up and you still do not feel like there is compatibility, you have to stop the Taaruf. You are to do this after you have asked for permission from your parents. The girl also does the same. Also, in case your parents do not allow the Taaruf, you have to stop it.

In case there is some compatibility, you may proceed to the marriage step, only after you have passed all steps. After you get married, you are now free to do anything you want. This is even the right time to date and express your feelings to each other.

These rules are set because they encourage people to keep their purity. When people start a romantic relationship before they get married, they can be engaged in fornication. This means that you will violate the rules of Allah as you will commit immorality. Courtship before marriage is a violation of Allah rules in Islam.
