Buying A Manchester Full Weave

By Marissa Velazquez

These days, anyone can wear the fashionable hairstyles they want without the bulkiness that were once associated with hair extensions. The great thing is that many are affordable for most people. A Manchester full weave is no exception as there are many colors, hair types, and styles from which a person can choose.

There was once a time when only those with a lot of money were able to afford hair extensions that were not detectable. Yet, this was also during a time when high hairdos were in style and for many, the bigger the hair, the better. Since many used sprays and other hair products to give an extremely thick look, a little bulk was acceptable.

As styles gradually changed to become sleeker with less bulk, operators began to perfect new ways to add hair that looked natural. Also, the price should be affordable for many as working class people wanted a weave. Many methods that were discovered along the way came with mixed results.

Bonding was the first quick weave method that promised a full head of hair in less than an hour. While many wearers loved the quickness, the results were temporary. This method also could not withstand the use of daily conditioners or hair oils that would cause the bonding glue to loosen and the weave would eventually fall from the scalp. So this was recommended for weekend hairstyles.

Over time, newer weaving techniques that were non detectable came along that allowed for the free movement of hair that laid flat but could bounce. Some enjoyed the freedom from bulky looks of the past and could run their fingers through their scalp without feeling hair tracks. Many of these methods are used today for a very good price and quality hair.

When it came to selecting a weave color, the selection was rather limited as well as generic. Unfortunately, for the person who liked to do their hair at home, coloring this type of hair was best left to professional beauty operators. This manufactured hair was processed in a fashion where it was not porous enough to accept most home coloring kits. However, this has changed, as there are now a wide variety of colors and weaves that have blended colors that look natural.

When it comes to styles and textures, this is where most wearers are like a kid in a candy store. People with straight hair can have a head full of curly hair that is bouncy and full. Wearers with thick coarse tresses can have sleek hairdos that are shiny and straight.

Although it is easy to get caught up in the luxury of weaved hair, it is important to be aware of maintenance from the time the wearer leaves the salon. This includes regular shampooing and the use of a conditioner as well as regular appointments to deal with new growth. Weaves and extensions that are not maintained can look raggedy and eventually separate.

Having hair should be a fun thing as they offer a little more of a natural look than most wigs or temporary hairpieces. It also helps to have an operator that is knowledgeable about taking care of hair at home. This service can be found at most Manchester full weave salons.
