After they serve their sentences, they will be given the chance to recreate another journey of their life. They still have lots of things to accomplish regardless of age. A lot of people are defined for their deeds and not for their inner intentions. We might have done something wrong in our lives but the ends are nowhere near the intentions of its means. Therefore, the society has no right to label us according to our sentences. We have to mind our own businesses and improve our mentality.

Sometimes, we fail to realize that we still have a journey to finish and something to accomplish. Being in jail or being labeled as a criminal does not necessarily mean your life purpose is already confiscated. It only means that you should suffer your own consequences so you would no longer engage in criminal acts. This is for formality purposes only.

However, those people whom you have hurt might have forgiven you for a very long time already since then. Therefore, psychologists, guidance counselors and other professionals are tasked to assess their wellbeing. They utilize the necessary tools and assessment techniques to evaluate on their initial functioning. They also conduct seminars.

We can always say they deserve a second chance but it will be very difficult to apply. We can no longer change their negative mind set because they think they already have no one to go home to. Their families are already not there and their relatives already hated them so much. They do not have a job.

However, they must know that everything is no longer the same. Their families may have already passed away or their children might have already been living abroad. There are lots to expect when it comes to these situations. The goal of therapists and counselors is to keep them sane and to ensure their utmost wellbeing.

They encourage them to join religious organizations and to participate in productive tasks. They secure them a source of income like in a janitorial firm or community service training. As soon as they are being released, they do not know what to do and where to go. They do not even have a job to start with.

Some would even hesitate because they already built a life in prison. Meaning to say they would most likely prefer to stay than to gain back their freedom. The regain would be useless because their family is not these anymore. They might have no idea where they may be on that day or what to say to them.

Every journey is still counted as a learning experience. Without these chapters, we would never grow into better persons and we would stick in our old malpractices. Sometimes, it would take years to polish our personality and to build a good attitude towards the people around us. It might even cost our own lives.
