Jack Van Impe False Teacher Or Follower Of Christ

By Catalina Nielsen

The opinion held by his detractors is Jack Van Impe false teacher. The opinion of his followers is the opposite. They consider him a true minister who leads the faithful in the right direction. He has a weekly television series and those followers send offerings to keep it on the air.

At one time Van Impe was a follower of the Baptist Minister, Jerry Falwell. As Falwells cohort, he followed the dictates of Fundamentalist Baptists. It is now claimed by those who protest his leadership, that his dedication to that religion is all in the past.

To the minds of some, that is a good move. To the other followers of Falwell, it is the first step on the road down to hell. Van Imp now claims allegiance with Roman Catholicism and the Pope.

They are strongly opposed to his new beliefs. He has turned away from Jesus Christ in their estimation. They say he is now motivated by the Pope and his Catholic beliefs because he praises and claims to be in agreement with those them now.

Each person in this world can make up his own mind about what religious beliefs are worthy of following. A child who is raised up in one religion sometimes changes to another later in life. We all enjoy freedom of religion in the US as long as it does not infringe on the freedom of others.

Whether it is a good way, or an evil way will be confirmed on Judgment Day by the object of that worship. The Holy Bible has been interpreted, modernized to make it easier to read and each individual can make of it what he wishes it to be. The point of any religion should be kindness and good intent towards others.

It is debatable whether heaven will be a segregated place. Will each religion and the branches of that religion be in a separate township? It seems unlikely. It seems more likely that all denominations will be welcomed to the same place.

If he is a false prophet that fact will become apparent at the appropriate time. In addition to the Roman Catholic worshipers, the religious beliefs of Billy Graham, a Baptist minister and lecturer, are considered acceptable by most standards. Graham is world renowned, familiar to and respected by millions of followers.

Van Impes career expanded with his half-hour television series. In the course of the program, he comments on religious happenings and news that may be of interest to his flock. His wife is co-host of the television ministry show. She is Rexella, a name derived from her fathers name, Rex Shelton.

Jack and Oscar, his father, consumed alcohol when Jack was just a boy. Then, when he was twelve, his father had a religious conversion and became a missionary. They both stopped drinking immediately after that and never consumed alcoholic beverages again.

After Jack graduated from high school, he entered the Detroit Bible Institute where he earned a degree. In the course of his career, he was associated with Billy Graham and Jerry Falwell. Whether he should be regarded as Jack Van Impe false teacher, or true preacher of the gospel is a matter of opinion. Angel of God or son of the devil, is he either or in a more neutral position.
