A Quick Assessment Of The East African Social Network

By Jaclyn Hurley

Over the years, human beings have come up with different ways through which they can keep in touch. Different languages have been developed as a result of the communication channels. Local dialects have been added into these languages. In some cases, the dialects have been affected by the change in the environment and the changes in the communication channels. The East African Social Network has evolved with the changes in technology to the modern social network which is virtually supported by the technology.

Most languages can be directly retraced to the cave man. They were developed so as to ease the process of communications between different people. The early man started off by doing the cave and wall writings. In some instances, wall paintings were used to pass the special messages to the intended persons. Through the paintings and the writings, the special messages could be relayed to the intended persons.

Over the years, the channels of communication evolved as the smoke signals were taken over by the decoded messages on reeds. The encoding of messages ensured that there was no tampering of the messages being relayed from one point to another. In some cases, the encoded reeds were transported by special safes. On arrival, the safes were unlocked and the messages decoded.

The procedures of encoding and decoding of secretive messages was used as the foundation of developing the mobile phones. The simple applications used for encoding and decoding of messages were incorporated into the phones. The sending of messages could be easily done without having to worry about the security of information.

The simple mobile devices laid the foundation for an evolution within the telecommunication industry. Soon, better devices with the ability to accommodate more applications were rolled out. Modern mobile devices are more complex than their predecessors. They have wrapped various applications into one tool. With such devices, one can access the internet at a very high speed, make a video call and play a couple of online games.

The telecommunication industry then entered a convergence era. Most of applications were now being merged into one application so as to boost the performance. With very high performance processors and the high internet access speeds, convergence had became a reality. With an array of high speed gadgets, people could easily log into various forums online. Through these forums, people could meet and make new friends over time.

Communication is the easiest process through which people can keep in touch. As the information is being sent out from one source to another, new communication links are formed by the communicating parties. The interactions form the basis on which people can easily make and maintain friends.

The communication channels that have been in use in the East African region have expanded over the years of evolution. The networks have fused with the technology to bring forth a better channel that has broken down the geographical barriers. Through such channels, the locals in different regions of East Africa are put on the world map.
