How To Utilize Prophetic Pastor Opportunities

By Tanisha Berg

Before the accession of Jesus, He left a clear message on the great commission that preachers were to take the gospel to the four corners of the earth and turn sinners into saints. What Jesus did was to create prophetic pastor opportunities that would help disciples in the world today to spread the message about the Kingdom of God throughout the world. There are things you need to know before going out to preach Christ.

Jesus had the power to condemn sin, but He never did that. There were so many sinners around and the only thing He saw in them was a passion, thirst and hunger for the word of God. He taught of a loving God who loved the world and gave His only one son for the sake of the world. He wanted to save the world from sin and give people everlasting life.

You need to learn how to do the same. Once you are born again, you become a new creation, the old things in your life passed away and you are now a saint. However, that does not give you the audacity to use your preaching to condemn those who have not accepted Christ as Lord.

Remember how the person who preached to your about Jesus told you about God in love and in humility. It is because he knew that Jesus is gentle, humble in heart and that His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. When you preach to someone, therefore, talk to him or her gently, tell him or her about a loving God not a condemning Father and always remember to tell him or her about a choice giving God, not a fast decisive being.

The great thing about Jesus is that he also asked people to preach the message of forgiveness. Jesus said that of you do not forgive people who wrong against you, the father in heaven would not forgive your sins also. Later in the Bible, the term forgiveness appears so many times and it becomes a great aspect that makes people to live in peace and love each other.

You need to follow the example of Christ when you are teaching people how to forgive. A good pastor does not tell people how bad they are when they do not forgive people who wrong them. Instead, he or she helps people see the meaning, the importance and the value of forgiveness, hence giving them a reason to forgive men their sins.

When Jesus came to the earth, He was clear that He came to fulfill the purpose of Him who sent Him. He did not glorify Himself when He healed people nor did He exalt Himself after driving out demons He always gave glory back to God and even went to solitary places to pray to God in Heaven.

You have the duty to do the same thing. You need to learn how to give glory back to God after a successful mission in the field. You will be committing a great sin if you take glory back to yourself.
