World Outreach Ministries Provides Many Beneficial Services

By Bonnie Contreras

World Outreach Ministries was established by Jason Peebles in the 1970s and since then has grown exponentially. It is an affiliation of missionaries from various backgrounds and humanitarian workers. Such individuals must have a dependable home office if they are to efficiently reach their goals. The ministry's vision is to assist such workers in their quest to fulfill the Great Commission.

Individuals have taken on missionary roles for centuries, and almost everyone considers this task a calling, rather than merely a job. Without appropriate support, however, it can be difficult to accomplish one's vision with any type of success. With no establishment to fall back on for prayer and support, many men and women who are attempting to answer this calling become discouraged.

Also called simply WOM, World Outreach Ministries has a philosophy that all kinds of workers are needed in the Kingdom of God. This is why even though the message is similar, there are many avenues through which the gospel can be spread. Some individuals work in children's shelters, while others work in medical clinics, or do translation work. The role of others is to evangelize. Virtually everyone can find a role for himself or herself.

Those on the mission field are provided with many critical services by WOM. The latter's goal is to assist missionary families to be successful in their endeavors, no matter which country they are working in at the time. They provide support development and the tracking of pledges. They also handle receipts, deposits, automatic gifts, and list maintenance so that each missionary on the field can devote himself or herself to the work at hand, rather than administrative activities. Additionally, they offer their associates extra resources such as training materials.

The individuals served by WOM come from a diversified background. Offering them a dependable home office is the ministry's primary objective. Currently, almost 300 missionary families proudly call WOM their home office. Those who do not have backing of this type often find their tasks more difficult on a day-to-day basis.

WOM's core value is that every person, regardless of his or her race, lifestyle, culture, beliefs, or nation of birth is valuable in the sight of Jesus. They also have a firm belief that all people need Jesus Christ in order to gain eternal life. The Bible states that each person is invaluable in the sight of God, but still in need salvation even if he or she lives a good life.

WOM offers help to individuals on the mission field throughout the world. These regions include numerous islands, Africa, South America, Central America, Europe and Asia. People working in foreign countries are highly appreciative of a reputable home office they can turn to for assistance.

Independent missionaries find it highly encouraging to know that they are not alone in their work. World Outreach Ministries consistently stands behind such men and women by providing continual services that any successful missionary feels are essential. The ministry's website should be visited by any individual who wishes to learn more about this organization and find out exactly what type of services they provide for today's modern missionary.
